Clay Arendes has over 20 years of experience providing legal counsel to companies on a broad range of domestic and international transactions in the software, SaaS, professional services, telecommunications and e-commerce industries. He has represented a variety of clients ranging from early stage ventures to Fortune 100 companies. Clay has significant experience in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements focusing on revenue generating matters, with a particular emphasis on technology related transactions. Prior to forming AGRS, Clay practiced law as a solo practitioner from 2004 until July 2010, representing primarily venture-backed startup companies. Prior to founding his solo practice, Clay was General Counsel for several Austin-based startups, including TManage, Vectris, C3 Communications, and ChoiceCom. Prior to moving to Austin in 1998, Clay was a Senior Attorney at Sprint, where he started his career in 1989.
